Lowemotor Corporation – Saturnalia (Spinefarm)

This review will not be about how they play or what they play, but it will be about the lyrical concept behind the music. The debut album of “Lowemotor Company” refers to the ancient Roman winter solstice celebration, a full one-week festival of insane amounts of drinking and feasting, a no work and all play period, where masters and servants switched roles, children commanded their parents and the elected Saturnalia king gave the strangest of orders to his people.

Combine that image with a very good sound, with the voice of Claudia Carnal (featuring also Ville Valo of HIM on two songs:”Soul of a Pagan” and “Love Me”) and you’ll get a hit.
