Vineri, 24.02.2012, incepand cu ora 20 in club Fabrica vor concerta trupele mentionate in titlu.

Biletele se pot achizitiona direct in seara concertelor, la intrarea in club.

In deschiderea concertului vor evolua APA SIMBETII (black / death metal) si SPINECRUSHER (old school death thrash metal), ambele din Bucuresti.

LEE SMALL’s “Jamaica Inn” new album launched on 20 January 2012

Lee Small hails from the West Midlands in the U.K, a place that has brought a wealth of talent in rock music & heavy metal gentry, such as Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Robert Plant, Magnum, John Bonham, Slade, Mel & Tom Galley & the voice of rock, Glenn Hughes to name just a few.

Lee started out originally as a bass player in bands at just the age of 14 years and was playing the midlands pub scene at 15. He took up guitar in 1986 and became a vocalist fronting a band for the first time 3 years later, then, quite by accident as the band he was playing in at the time kept losing the vocalist, they all decided to have a go at singing and he ended up getting the job!!

Since then, Lee has been quietly climbing the ladder to success. In the 1990’s Lee fronted UK Melodic Rockers “Pride” and had the opportunity to tour with up and coming bands at the time such as Winger, Skin and Thunder.

In the late 90’s he formed Native Cain with ex-Pride members and released the album “Primitive Soul” with them in 1998. During 2000 he has been involved with Rock legends “Budgie” and Eric Bell’s “Thin Lizzy”. It was not long before Escape Music recognized his vocal talent and Lee features on Escape Music releases Surveillance (“Angelstation”) and Cloven Hoof (“Eye of the Sun”), not forgetting Tom Galley’s Psychofantasy project where Lee sang alongside such people as Tony Martin, Keith Murrell and Glenn Hughes.

More recently Lee took to the mike stand for legendary UK melodic rockers SHY, and has helped create a marvellous piece of music which has received reviews of epic proportions. Lee Small is a name at the forefront of the rock scene at present and what a time to unleash his very own solo outing, an album which is full of surprises. Lee has given us a bluesy rock album that features contributions from Martin Kronlund (Gypsy Rose), Imre Daun (Don Patrol, Gypsy Rose) and Paul Bradder (Saracen). This is Lee at his finest, and this solo outing will see him take his talent to new heights.

The new STRANGEWAYS album “Age Of Reason” was released on 12 december 2011

First of all, I have to say that I’m sorry for not writing any news for such a long time. My job/other projects are keeping me very busy. I hope that with this new article a new, more involved, period will begin.

And now, let’s go on with the news about the album.

On 12th December 2011 we’ve seen the release of Strangeways 8th studio album “Age Of Reason“.

Formed in the early 80’s, Strangeways have been around the block a time or two. Crooked managers, departing singers and a somewhat hostile business have conspired to keep them one of the UK’s best kept secrets.

Even so, 8 studio albums, 1 greatest hits and 1 live album later and they have received much acclaim from fans and the rock press and as if to prove the point, they are still around. Having been support act with the likes of Bryan Adams, The Kinks, Meatloaf, Europe, Glenn Hughes, The Hellecasters, Gino Washington and many more, Strangeways have performed successfully to a varied audience. Reunited last year with American singer Terry Brock and now with the return of bassist David Stewart, Age Of Reason is promising to be a classic Strangeways affair.

Always shrugging off any attempt to pigeon hole them, with influences as varied as Prince, Chilli Peppers, The Tubes, Miles Davis, Hank Williams, Journey, Thin Lizzy, John Prine, Steve Earl, Frank Zappa etc Strangeways have pushed their musical boundaries to mixed reviews but always remained true to themselves and their roots in rock music.

After a brief flirtation with the business for their comeback album “Perfect World” Strangeways have again decided to release Age Of Reason on their own Dangerous Dog Records label and are looking forward to promoting it live in early 2012.

Maybe we will see one of their concerts here in Romania.
