Asa cum e traditia, dupa un turneu national, DIRTY SHIRT organizeaza un festival “acasa” la Seini (Maramures). Festivalul va avea loc in aer liber, in curtea liceului Ion Ionescu de la Brad, toate facilitatile fiind gratuite: camping in parcul liceului, dusuri, toalete etc…

Rupere.md organizează a patra ediţie Rupere Music Awards

Rupere Music Awards 2010 este a patra ediţie a celor mai importante evenimente şi a celor mai tari formaţii rock autohtone care s-au remarcat în 2010.

Anul acesta facem totalurile scenei rock din Moldova pentru următoarele categorii de nominalizări: Formația Anului, Concertul Anului, Clipul Anului, CD-ul/ album-ul/ EP-ul anului, Descoperirea anului, Best Guest Band (Cea mai bună prestație live a formațiilor străine în Moldova), Dezamăgirea anului.

Perioada desfăşurării Rupere Music Awards 2010 este 29 ianuarie – 12 februarie 2010. Nominalizările au fost propuse de către vizitatorii site-ului rupere.md .

Forever’s Edge releases “Chaotic Silence”

Fresh on the power metal scene, Forever’s Edge, formed by guitarist Salvatore Pisano, is supported by a power house of musicians including keyboardist Mike Khalilov (EMPYREON, REVOLUTION RENAISSANCE), singer Clay Barton (SUSPYRE), bassist Andrew Distabile (SUSPYRE), and drummer Frank Godla (EMPYREON, DIVIDING LIGHT). Female guest vocals are done by Sharon MacPherson.

As early as 2006, Salvatore Pisano started writing songs for their first album “Chaotic Silence”. In 2008, with the bar raised and the production value substantially increased, “Chaotic Silence” began its evolution. Forever’s Edge music appeals to fans of Evergrey, Sonata Arctica, Stratovarius, Adagio, Serenity, and Suspyre.

“Chaotic Silence” showcases the usual power metal formula with a touch of progressive orchestration done by Gregg Rossetti (SUSPYRE). The album was produced and mixed by Erypsus Studios in Flemington, New Jersey.

Sal Pisano gives us insight into the album’s creation, “Chaotic Silence is an overture, not simply of music but of life. Conceptual, it is a collection of stories that metaphorically create a semblance of experiences we as people go through: triumph, dissatisfaction, mourning, joy, love, and hate.”

The band is already writing and producing their second album and hope to play gigs around the world in support of their music.

MAN AGAINST THE WORLD – CHARITY SINGLE RELEASE

Multinational Melodic Metal band Eden’s Curse have released a digital single of their ballad “Man Against The World” with 100% of the profits being donated towards two homeless charities, namely shelter.org.uk in the UK and feedthechildren.org in the USA.

Songwriter Paul Logue commented

“We receive emails from our fans time and time again, but none moved me more than the one I received from Jared Hochstettler. He put together a montage on You Tube featuring some really powerful images of homeless men, women and children. It stopped me dead in my tracks and made me think about how fortunate I am. Right there and then I decided to do something about it and I’m delighted to gain the support of my band mates, record labels and Music By Mail in Germany, who assisted us with launching the track onto the worldwide portals, with a view to raising some money to help Shelter and Feed The Children”.

“I urge everyone to simply watch the video and if you feel as moved as I did buy the download and do your bit to help ease the suffering of those less fortunate than ourselves” Logue added.

New HALCYON WAY track streaming now on MySpace!

Atlanta progressive metal band Halcyon Way have released a new track that is available for streaming from their MySpace page (http://www.myspace.com/halcyonway).

The track, “Rise To Revise,” is the first to be released from the band’s highly anticipated upcoming album, Building The Towers. It features the debut of new vocalist Steve Braun (Ashent, Siloam) , as well as a guest appearance by Pamela Moore of Queensryche fame.

The album was produced by Lasse Lammert (Alestorm, Svartsot) and guitarist Jon Bodan.  Drums were engineered by Mike Froedge (doubleDrive, Bloodsimple, Speed X) at Open Sky Studios in Atlanta.  Lammert is mixing the album at his studio, LSD-Tonstudio in Germany.

The album is currently scheduled for a summer 2010 release.
