TOXXIC TOYZ new album “Mutation” on Nightmare Records

This is an extremely powerful sophemore album for a band that has been around playing the French scene since 2003. Toxxic Toyz brand of music is a blending of extremely aggressive heavy rock and melodic power metal with great technical proficiency, tendencies and great song writing, Vocalist David Mcbee’s voice fits this music perfectly, he’s got a raw attitude basted in melody that brings listening accessibility, lyrically this album is screaming to the sleeping masses of the world not aware that their becoming slaves to the new world order, wake up, it’s now or never, wake up you sheeple, it’s TIME TO WAKE UP and reclaim your freedom.

The freedom of the mind, the freedom of independent thought freedom of our spirit to rise above the corporate media’s calculated social programing.

This band believes in the raw rock attitude of no keyboard embellishments, it’s in your face and it’s all good. The songs clock in between 5-7 minutes in length without getting boring due to the bands ability to blend old school riffs into more up-tempo technical and aggressive mature structures.

Follow up to their debut “Hope”…One of Nightmare Records finest releases to date… brilliant artwork and sound production.
MYRATH (english meaning “LEGACY”) is a Metal band from Tunisia, a small county well known for its resort areas on the Mediterranean coast but certainly not for its metal bands, yet in just a few years what started out as a teenage cover band (formed in early 2001 by guitarist and main song writer Malek Ben Arbia, just 13 years old at the time), Has grown into one of the worlds major contenders in PowerProg Metal and gained much respect by the international prog-power international community with the release of their label debut album “Hope’’.
Ben having graduated from the prestigious French International guitar music academy “M.A.I. at such an early age, has aligned himself with a formidable force of young talent.
It all really started happening In March 24th 2006 when the band opened for ROBERT PLANT and ADAGIO in Carthage Amphitheater (Tunisia) in front of nearly 7000 Rock/metal fans. Adagio keyboards player Kevin Codfert who watched Myrath performance (and later listened to Myrath first self produced album ‘’double face‘’ released in March 2005 in Tunisia only) detected the great potential of the band as well as promising composing skills.
Myrath recorded in December 2006 their debut album “Hope” in a low cost studio in Tunis-Tunisia, with the valuable assistance and guidence of Kevin Codfert (Adagio) as engineer and producer. This album was a turning point in Myrath carrier as the band was signed by the French label Brennus -Music who released “Hope” worldwide in September 2007.
“Hope” was well received and released by French label Brennus music who released it worldwide in September of 2007, it was praised by the media in numerous album reviews, by well known webzines and magazines (Such as Rock Hard) and was even voted third best album of the year by two major US webzines. As well as album of the week by several major metal radios such as THE MOOVE (France). ” Hope” also paved the way for the band to be able to play on well known festivals METAL ROCK FESTIVAL (Norway) and PROGPOWER-EU (Netherlands)

Atlanta progressive metal band Halcyon Way has completed the tracking for their new CD, to be released late Spring by Nightmare Records

The album was produced by Lasse Lammert (Alestorm, Svartsot) and guitarist Jon Bodan. Drums were engineered by Mike Froedge (doubleDrive, Bloodsimple, Speed X) at Open Sky Studios in Atlanta. Lammert is mixing the album at his studio, LSD-Tonstudio in Germany.
The new release is the follow-up to the critically acclaimed debut by the band, A Manifesto For Domination. It features the debut of new vocalist Steve Braun (Ashent, Siloam), as well as a guest appearance by Pamela Moore of Queensryche fame. “We’re incredibly excited about the new material,” said guitarist Jon Bodan.
“This album is a quantum leap forward for Halcyon Way – the material is both heavier and more aggressive, but it also is far catchier and more melodic at the same time than Manifesto. The guys in the band all stepped their individual games up, and the material is better for it. Lasse did a great job on the production, and we expect the mixdown and mastering process to be completed by the end of February.”
Halcyon Way has appeared live with many bands such as Helloween, Strapping Young Lad, TYR, Kamelot, Symphony X, Doro Pesch, Cathedral, Virgin Black, Samael, Vicious Rumors, Seven Witches, and many others. In addition they have appeared at ProgPower USA on two occasions, and at Rocklahoma 2008 and 2009.
